Conflict Tipping Podcast – Exploring Indigenous Approaches to Peacebuilding (2024)
In this episode of the Conflict Tipping podcast, I speak to Laura May about my doctoral research on local peacebuilding in South Africa. I call for context-specific, indigenous approaches to peacebuilding, and discuss the challenges and nuances in implementing Indigenous approaches to peace on the ground, as well as their misinterpretations and misuse in political and academic discourse. I also share my experience of conducting fieldwork and my hopes for future research focusing on participatory methods, dialogue, and public space in peacebuilding.
